Record Setting Booth Attendance at NPE2015

Share

Techmer PM experienced record attendance at its booth during NPE2015 in late March, thanks in part, to heightened interest in the 3-D printed 1965 Shelby Cobra on display.

Created with the help of Techmer ES’ materials expertise, the unique sports car had people buzzing around our booth where our team members were on hand to talk about the project. The car not only demonstrated our growing 3-D printing capabilities, but also underscored our commitment to creating timely technical advancements that benefit the marketplace.

“NPE2015 offered Techmer PM and Techmer ES a terrific opportunity to each showcase their broad range of innovative offerings to customers,” said Ryan Howley, president. “We were very pleased to receive a great deal of interest in Techmer PM’s masterbatch solutions and Techmer ES’ engineered compounds from potential new customers. It provided further validation in each division’s core capabilities and how our innovations appeal to customers.”

A combined 50 team members represented Techmer PM and Techmer ES at the Orlando, Florida trade show. They joined more than 60,000 professionals overall who attended NPE2015, representing an estimated 21,350 companies, according to a press release from show organizers. That’s 11 percent more than the previous NPE2012, a sign that the U.S. plastics industry continues to strengthen.

Not all the activity occurred at the trade show, however. Techmer PM’s Corporate Process Manager Kimberly Williamson spoke at the ANTEC® conference, which was taking place concurrently in Orlando. Her presentation, “Compounded Returns for Sustainability,” focused on Techmer PM’s approach to sustainability and how it benefits the plastics industry. Using Techmer PM as a case study, she showed how Techmer PM has incorporated environmentally friendly practices into its long-term strategic and operating plans.

Lastly, Techmer PM hosted a customer event for 40 professionals at an Orlando Magic basketball game. Attendees had floor access to watch warm ups before listening to a presentation by Pat Williams, the team’s co-founder and former general manager, who spoke about leadership.
