Multi-Million Dollar Investment Will Help Expand Product Portfolio and Capabilities

CLINTON, Tenn., October 26, 2015 – Techmer ES (TES), a wholly owned subsidiary of Techmer PM, LLC, and leading producer of engineered thermoplastic compounds, is proud to announce a new state-of-the-art facility in New Castle, Delaware. Construction is underway with a transition to the new facility expected to begin in January.

The New Castle plant, which will replace the facility in Aston, Pennsylvania, has 50 percent more capacity to support Techmer ES’s business growth. As Techmer ES continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies and capabilities, the new plant will help significantly expand its product portfolio and will feature advanced testing capabilities.

The investment is also aimed at accelerating the introduction of best-in-class solutions in high-growth areas such as 3-D printing.

“We believe it is important to invest in innovation so we can continue making technical contributions to the marketplace and sharpen solutions that benefit our growing base of customers,” said Bob Findlen, director of sales and marketing, Techmer ES.

Additionally, the new facility will allow the company to deliver on its commitments to its workforce and the environment. The New Castle location (which is 20 miles from the Aston plant) was chosen, in part, to retain Techmer ES’s existing workforce. The site will open with 60 employees and is expected to grow to over 100 employees within five years.

“One of our priorities is making sure workplace comfort and safety are a cornerstone of this new facility, and our multi-million-dollar investment in New Castle will ensure we keep that promise,” said Farokh Kheradi, director of operations at Techmer ES.

As part of its environmental commitment, Techmer ES will invest in closed-loop utilities and recycling initiatives that sharply limit waste to landfill, and hold the company accountable to stringent environmental controls.

“This investment demonstrates our commitment to create new custom modified engineering resins,” said John Manuck, chairman and CEO of Techmer PM. “This new location opens up greater potential for innovation, which better positions us as a leader in the marketplace and offers significant benefits to customers seeking advanced solutions. The New Castle plant will be a world-class compounding facility designed to grow with us.”

The facility will begin full operations in the second quarter of 2016
