Techmer PM Earns Upgrade to New Standard

“At Techmer PM, customer satisfaction is our primary benchmark for measuring success,” says John R. As evidence of Techmer PM’s unwavering commitment to total quality, Mr. Manuck takes great pride in announcing that the company has again been upgraded under the quality management standards developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in Geneva. Independent inspectors from Intertek Testing Services NA Inc., an ISO-licensed Quality System Registrar in Boxborough, Mass., thoroughly examined Techmer PM’s quality management processes and determined that they are in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements.

Techmer PM earned its first ISO 9000 certification in 1996. Although the ISO approach to quality had only recently started to spread from Europe to the U.S. back then, Mr. Manuck recognized its value and future potential. Today more than a million companies worldwide have implemented the ISO methodology.
“Two key elements in ISO’s recipe for quality were particularly appealing–and still are,” says Mr. Manuck. “One is the emphasis on continuous improvement in every aspect of quality management, and the other is the focus on customer satisfaction. Both dovetail nicely with our management philosophy.”

To remain ISO 9001 certified, a company must prove to examiners during periodic inspections at least every 12 months that quality system processes and customer satisfaction are both improving constantly. For customer satisfaction, proof takes the form of a documented customer survey. “Our customers rave about the care they get,” notes Mr. Manuck. “But we know that what is excellent customer support today will need to be even better tomorrow. We wouldn’t have it any other way.”
