Techmer PM’s Dalton Fiber Center designs and produces custom color masterbatch for the fibers industry. It opened in May 2008 and includes a new custom color development center. Built with designers and manufacturing in mind, the center provides fast turnaround of accurate color matches and the ability to supply everything from a visual representation (pom or yarn card wrap) to a full, texturized package of yarn that is ready for twisting, tufting, or weaving. Three yarn and fiber spinning lines, online and off-line texturizing equipment, and a staple fiber processing line creates samples for any application. It also utilizes virtual reality digital color development, providing the opportunity to color complicated patterns using either an existing palette of nylon, polyester, olefin colors, or new colors created by the user. A designer can visualize true color in an existing pattern, incorporate new colors from the lab, predict how the final product appears, and take away yarn suitable for making strike-offs. It is one of six Techmer manufacturing facilities in the USA. The others are located in Rancho Dominguez, California; Clinton, Tennessee; Wichita, Kansas; Naperville, Illinois; and Avon, Ohio.
Techmer PM is a major producer of value-added colors and additives for the plastics and fiber industries. The company has worldwide manufacturing capabilities focusing on high-performance applications where quality, technical support, and problem solving are critical.
